Using VPNFast helps add an extra layer of privacy and security while browsing the internet, especially when using public Wi-Fi networks like cafés, airports, hotels, or shared connections.
A. If you see “Exposed! Your device is unprotected” on the screen, what does that mean?
This means your VPN connection is currently inactive or disconnected, and your internet traffic is not protected by the VPN.
When your device is in the “Exposed” state:
- Your real IP address may be visible.
- Your internet activity may be visible to your Internet service provider (ISP or unsecured networks.
- Public Wi-Fi networks may increase the risk of data exposure.
- Your connection is using your regular internet network without VPN protection.
This status may appear if:
- You have not connected to a VPN server.
- The VPN was manually disconnected.
- Your internet connection became unstable.
- VPN permissions are disabled.

To secure your connection again:

- Tap or click the Connect button after selecting server.
