Yes. Security software and restricted networks are among the most common reasons the app cannot connect even when the rest of your internet works normally.

The quickest way to check is to connect your device to a different network — a phone hotspot works well. If VPNFast connects there but not on your usual network, that network or its security software is blocking it.

If it is being blocked:

  1. Windows Defender Firewall: open Windows Security, go to Firewall & network protection, then Allow an app through firewall, and make sure VPNFast is allowed on both private and public networks.
  2. Third-party antivirus or endpoint protection such as Sophos, McAfee, Norton, ESET, Kaspersky or Bitdefender: add VPNFast to its allowed list, or temporarily turn off web and HTTPS scanning to confirm it is the cause.
  3. Work, school or public networks: many block VPN connections by policy. If your device is managed by an employer or school, your IT administrator will need to allow it. This cannot be changed from inside the app.

If VPNFast still will not connect on a network you control, contact support through Settings, then Help and Support, and tell us which network you are using and what security software is installed.
